17th international OMV halfmarathon in Altötting 2008

Last Sunday, 31st of August, the 17th edition of the Altötting halfmarathon (with 6km and 1,5km-competitions) took place in warm, but chilly conditions. Altogether 1838 participants finished in one of the 3 events.

Because of the warm and windy conditions the course record in the halfmarathon (1:01:47, in 2006) was not challenged and the Kenyan winner Daniel Keitany had to settle with a rather disappointing time of 1:04:19. Fastest German was Tobias Schreindl in 6th place (1:11:47).

The women’s race was won by Petra Kaminkova (CZE) in 1:16:47. Fastest German women was 55-year old Inge Dilger in 1:26:29h.
