17th Tübinger Stadtlauf results, 19.09.2010

As expected the Kenyans took the victory in the mens race of the Tübinger City-run 2010. With a fast last kilometer, Titus Kosgei (21:25) held off the defending champion Patrick Kimeli (21:34) and Kiprop Tuwei (21:55). Local hero Arne Gabius was the fastest German with a time of 22:13min. The reigning 10.000m champ Christian Glatting came home 5th ahead of marathoner Martin Beckmann. European 1.500m silver medalist Carsten Schlangen was 9th and former Olympic Champ Dieter Baumann in 16th sowed that he is still in shape.

The womens race was won by the new German 10K road running Champ Simret Restle. With a time of 25:13 she was 23 seconds ahead of Kenyan Purity Macharia.

Altogether 2.700 runners and 25.000 spectators took part in the event.
